    Drs. Limosnero,

U-won-te' Savior would like to thank you for your support and providing dental hygiene items for the homeless for this past Saturday event.

As we are in the process of obtaining our 501 (c) (3) status, please accept this letter of “thank you for your contribution to our cause”. Since we receive NO direct funding from the government and rely solely on our donor community to help us achieve our goals, your contribution has been a tremendous support to us, in our efforts of providing aide to the homeless.

Our long term goal is to fully fund and create avenues of support to homeless people in Dallas. Your generous support has been instrumental for our organization to make the community a better place.

In addition to collecting donations from supporters like yourself, U-won-te’ Savior Ent. Hosted its 11 year Poetry Art & Jazz for the homeless event on October 11th. This community event is meant to inspire, motivate, entertain, raise awareness, raise money, and promote unity and selflessness.

This uplifting event was created as an outlet for a melting pot of inspirational artists to showcase their talents for the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ; and has become a growing tradition for a dying world looking for change. Since it seems like on every other street corner in America there is a homeless person asking for change, in December of 2011 we decided to spare some change and spark some change starting in our own community.

To date, we have created a project in the Dallas area, called 'Makeovers for the Homeless', to help build confidence and self-esteem for the homeless when applying for jobs or even asking for an application.

Our focus is to create makeovers that are more than skin deep because many homeless people are in need of spiritual makeovers and not just physical makeovers. Last year U-won-te' Savior, partnered with Blessed to Bless, Grace Tabernacle of Praise and Raising Cane's to help “makeover” homeless people in downtown Dallas.

We rented a school bus and picked up 50 homeless people, and provided them with prayer, counseling, conversation, makeup, haircuts, breakfast, movies, makeovers, facials, personal hygiene kits, clothes and lunch.

This year, on October 17th, we partnered with Antioch Christian Church, Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology, and South Texas Dental to provide free health screenings (dental, vision, blood pressure tests, and physical examinations) for 100 homeless people.

Again, thank you for your support in helping your local community. Let’s continue to work together; to makeover Dallas by creating change for homeless people in our community.

    Y’wante James
